Dr. Al Timothy, a native of New Orleans, Louisiana, joined Cardiovascular Institute of the South in 2009 to serve as a staff cardiologist. In 1997, Dr. Timothy graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor degree in biology from the University of New Orleans. He earned his medical degree at the Louisiana State University School of Medicine in 2001. Dr. Timothy completed his internal medicine residency at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in 2004. In 2008, he completed his cardiology fellowship at the Medical University of South Carolina, where he also completed his interventional cardiology fellowship in 2009. Dr. Timothy is board certified in internal medicine and cardiovascular disease. He is a member of numerous professional societies including the American College of Cardiology. Additionally, he was named Electrophysiology Fellow of the Year for 2008 during his general fellowship. |
