Position:
FULL-TIME Renal Dialysis Director
Purpose:
The Renal Dialysis Director maintains the operational aspects of the unit and is accountable for the nursing care provided. He/She acts as a role model and provides leadership and support to the nursing staff. He/she assures delivery of nursing care in accordance with the prescribed medical regimes through the use of the nursing process. The Renal Dialysis Director also acquires knowledge about patients, personnel, policies, and procedures in order to serve as a resource to the Charge Nurse and team members.
Qualifications:
  1. Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Louisiana.
  2. Have at least 12 months of experience in clinical nursing, and an additional 6 months of experience in providing nursing care to patients on maintenance dialysis.
  3. Certified in CPR.
  4. Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization.
  5. Possesses positive customer service skills.
  6. Demonstrate leadership abilities.
  7. Demonstrate skill in written and oral communication.
Working Conditions:
  1. Employee will be lifting and carrying up to 20 pounds approximately 5% of the day.
  2. Employee will be sitting approximately 15% of the day.
  3. Employee will be standing and walking approximately 60% of the day.
  4. Employee will be pushing and pulling approximately 10% of the day.
  5. Employee will be twisting, climbing, kneeling, stooping, and bending approximately 5% of the day.
  6. Employee will be reaching at or above shoulder level approximately 5% of the day.
